Mini Bonjour
FAQ

Questions families and directors ask us most.

If we haven’t answered yours below, please get in touch — we’re happy to chat about your center or your child.

What age group is Mini Bonjour for?
Mini Bonjour is designed for children ages 3–6.
Does my child need to know any French?
No. The program is designed for complete beginners. Every class starts from a gentle introduction and builds on familiar words through repetition and play.
How long is each class?
Each class is 30 minutes. We adjust timing within the session to fit each daycare’s schedule.
Is this a formal language class?
No. It is a playful early-exposure program using songs, stories, real objects, visuals, movement, and simple games — never worksheets or testing.
Do you come to the daycare?
Yes. The primary model is on-site daycare and preschool enrichment. We bring the lesson plan and all materials.
Can parents sign up directly?
This depends on the daycare. Parents are warmly invited to contact Mini Bonjour to express interest or refer their child’s daycare.
What do children learn?
Greetings, simple songs, colors, numbers, animals, family and food words, weather, feelings, and short practical phrases connected to real objects and daily routines.
Do you provide materials?
Yes. Mini Bonjour provides the lesson plan and all class materials, including picture cards, songs, hands-on objects, puppets, and visual props.
How do you teach French to young children?
We use a hands-on, child-centered approach. Children hear and explore French through real objects, picture cards, songs, stories, movement, matching, pointing, and simple repeated phrases. Children are encouraged — but never forced — to speak.
